English School (XIX) - Ducks Wading by The Mill
Here we have a simply charming 19th Century English School oil on canvas. The painting depicts a summery English countryside with a mill by the river. Ducks are wading on the river as it flows by. The water wheel is hard at work grinding the flour to a fine powder. The artwork is signed indistinctly lower left J. ???? and possibly dated 1878. A beautiful piece of art full of charm which would grace any wall in your home.
