This is a finely crafted and richly decorated Viennese Biedermeier silver bowl, most likely made around 1840. The elaborate repoussé decoration of fruits and flowers around the rim, along with the ornamented and solid base, are characteristic of the period’s taste. The bowl bears the antique Viennese hallmark, as well as the master’s mark “EA,” most likely referring to Eduard Albrecht, a Viennese silversmith. It is fully hallmarked and made of 13 Loth silver (812.5/1000). Dimensions: diameter 16.5 cm, height 13 cm, weight 151 grams. A rare and valuable piece from the first half of the 19th century, significant both artistically and for collectors. The bowl has survived in excellent condition.
