This is a Great Wave Makie inro.

This work dates from the late Edo period to the early Meiji period.

It depicts rough waves.

It is an impactful landscape painting that recalls Hokusai Katsushika's "Thirty-six Views of Mt. Fuji",

Under the Wave off Kanagaw, The Great Wave.

The top of the inro is decorated with clouds, and the rough waves are expressed with thick and thin lines to represent the waves of the sea.

The rock also has a convex shape, showing the high level of craftsmen in the Edo period who expressed situations with all kinds of ingenuity.

This is a high-quality item with Makie even on the inside.

It comes with a netsuke.

The condition is Excellent. There are no chips.
