This is the second table linen which is part of the first one and at 3m30 in length. It came from the same source as the various other pieces we have highlighted over the past few months, namely the chateau to where I live. I have known the charming couple for the past 30 years. They are coming of age and decided disposing of their 4 generations French Antique table linen. They have consulted their children, great grand and grand children, prior to doing so and none of them is interested in taking over the enormous quantity as they find the responsibility and work involved too much work. This table linen has been very seldom used and only for large gatherings. It is in perfect condition considering its age. There is Richelieu open thread work and much embroidery at the top. There are 6 matching napkins, measuring 51cm x 53cm. This table linen is perfect to deck a table with length of 3 meters. The last 3 photos were taken this morning with artificial light to show you the intricate design at the top. We have taken about 70 photos for your perusal. PLEASE NOTE; At the very last moment I discovered a tiny hole ( see last photo) This would have been caused from hot ash during smoking. We have covered it at the back with a piece of " thermo collant", which has been ironed on and will not come off.
