Material and technique Made from wood composition (wood pulp / composition material) with gesso surface, a technique widely used in European devotional sculpture production in the 20 century. The figure was originally fully polychromed; traces of the historical surface remain visible in recessed areas. Style The sculpture follows traditional late Gothic models, with the characteristic S-shaped posture, flowing drapery folds and crowned Virgin iconography typical of church and devotional art.
