Founded in 1861 in Schramberg, Germany, Junghans became one of the most important German watch producers and supplied both civilian and military markets during the interwar and WWII era. The present example reflects the robust and functional design language of that period. While this piece does not bear specific military engravings, its design, calibre and construction are fully consistent with German production of that era. These early Junghans wristwatches with sub-seconds configuration and in-house calibres are increasingly collectible, especially in honest, untouched condition.
