This antique Chinese snuff bottle, dating to the Qing Dynasty (1644–1911), is a fine example of lapidary art featuring a rare "hair crystal" material. Carved from high-quality rutilated quartz (often called "hair crystal" or "hair quartz" in the snuff bottle market). It features natural, dark needle-like inclusions—historically associated with tourmaline—distributed throughout a translucent rock crystal body. The bottle exhibits a well-hollowed, ovoid (pear-shaped) form with a flattened base, characteristic of 18th to 19th-century craftsmanship. It is topped with a vibrant rose quartz or pink tourmaline cabochon, set on a metal (likely silver or brass) collar, which provides a striking contrast to the monochrome bottle. Includes a custom-carved dark wood stand that highlights the bottle's translucency. Height is 7cm, 9cm with the wood stand. Depth is 2,5cm.
