About the artwork

Golden Horizon is part of a fish series inspired by the quiet moments we often overlook - the subtle shifts and gentle changes that quietly shape who we become. The fish symbolize the parts of us that continue moving forward, even when the waters feel uncertain. They speak to a kind of growth that doesn’t demand attention, a strength that doesn’t need to harden, and a resilience that is soft rather than forceful.

About the artist

Luca Domiro (b. 1979) is a UK-based artist whose work reflects a life shaped by movement, culture, and rediscovery. Born in South Africa with Italian roots, his paintings are deeply influenced by a strong connection to nature, place, and lived experience.

Early international travel with the Drakensberg Boys’ Choir shaped his sensitivity to colour, light, and atmosphere - qualities that continue to define his work today. After two decades in the corporate world, Luca returned to painting with renewed clarity and purpose, bringing authenticity and emotional depth to his practice.

Working across Abstract Landscapes, Portraits, and Seascapes, he creates contemplative pieces that explore memory, resilience, and quiet moments of connection. His paintings invite collectors to pause, reflect, and discover their own stories within the work.

His work is collected internationally particularly across Europe, USA and Canada and is exhibited worldwide.
