Italian Marble Jewellery Box with Brass Mount, Warm Red & Honey Veining – Mid 20th Century Elegant Italian marble jewellery or trinket box crafted from beautifully polished natural stone with rich tones of warm honey, amber, and deep reddish veining. The refined brass mount and simple sculptural form give the piece a timeless, luxurious appearance typical of mid-20th century Italian decorative objects. The box is carved from solid marble, displaying striking natural patterns and mineral inclusions. Each side reveals slightly different tones, ranging from golden caramel to darker red accents, making this a very decorative and unique stone piece. A finely detailed brass gallery mount with beaded decoration runs around the centre, adding elegance and highlighting the separation between lid and base. The lid is finished with a small brass knob, giving the piece a classic vanity or boudoir aesthetic. Italian marble objects like this were often produced in workshops around Carrara, Florence, and Verona, where centuries-old stone carving traditions continue to influence decorative arts. Perfect as a jewellery box, trinket container, vanity box, or decorative object on a dressing table, desk, or cabinet. Condition: Good vintage condition with minor signs of age and use. Natural stone variations typical for marble. Please review the photos as they are part of the description. Dimensions (approx.): Height: approx. 6 cm Diameter: approx. 7.5 cm Materials: Marble, brass Origin: Italy Period: Mid 20th century Shipping : securely packaged with track and trace and insurance. Note to US residents: due to extra processing costs of 150 euro plus the increase of tax tariffs on top of the shipping costs, Beau Brocante unfortunately had to raise the shipping costs to cover this. I am really sorry to all my much appreciated US customers. Since this is an auction platform, it's impossible to predict the outcome of the auction and we have to ensure covering costs.
