A fantastic Swedish Art Nouveau inkwell from the early 1900s, made in silver-plated metal and fitted with two crystal glass ink containers with hinged lids. The piece is designed as a double inkwell mounted on a rectangular desk stand. The stand features rich sculptural decoration with floral and rose motifs. The silver-plated metal contrasts beautifully with the clear crystal glass inserts. Over each inkwell is a hinged lid. The crystal is removable. Condition: The silver plating shows some signs of wear, revealing the golden tone of the underlying metal. There are some age spots and one oxidation mark on the left side - probably able to be polished if desired. The crystal glass inserts are in good condition overall, with a few small chips along the edges and two corners. These are minor and the inserts remain structurally sound and in good condition. Overall, the set looks beautiful.
