Under the theme of "the shape of time," the work coexists with the power and delicacy of clay. It has a sculptural silhouette that goes beyond a mere vessel. Artist Profile: Born in Taiwan in 1953. Graduated from the Tokyo University of the Arts, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Crafts, majoring in Ceramics in 1978. Mainly active in the Nitten exhibition, she won special selection awards in 2009 and 2012, and has received multiple awards at the Japan Contemporary Arts and Crafts Exhibition. She has also won awards at the Asahi Ceramics Exhibition and the Women's Association of Ceramic Art Exhibition, and is active internationally. She creates voluminous forms by cutting clay to capture the spirit of nature, such as waterfalls, ocean swells, roads, and the earth.
