An exquisite Japanese uchikake 打ち掛け (wedding kimono), offered in New Old Stock condition. This formal bridal uchikake is crafted from fine silk and richly decorated with embroidered pheasants, plum blossoms and all kinds of flowers. The vivid, saturated colours give the garment a striking visual presence. The interior is lined with vibrant vermillion silk, while the thickly padded hem, traditionally weighted with cotton, allows the uchikake to drape gracefully when worn or displayed. The kimono is in very good condition and has never been worn or used. White cotton protection still on corners of the hem, can be easily removed.
