The book covers the anatomy, structure, and functions of plants (roots, stems, leaves, flowers, fruits), as well as their reproduction and interaction with the environment. It covers a wide range of botanical topics and classifies them from ancient times to the 19th century. Published by L. Hachette et Cie - Paris, 1865. Condition Firm and well-bound copy. External covers in nice shape, and with light wear to corners, edges, and to head and foot of spine. Internally; the book is in very good condition. A small name on first title page. Some faded marks and foxing to pages. Inner hinges are very good, and pages are tightly held at gutters.
