A JAPANESE IMARI RETICULATED OCTOGONAL PLATE, Ø24CM, EDO, EXCELLENT CONDITION Nice antique Japanese Imari octogonal plate presenting a central pomegranates with peony pattern surrounded by geometric design and 8 reticulated medalions with alternate floral and gilt scrolls over deep blue grounds. A rare and antique reticulated plate of rather good size for a very decorative object in excellent condition. Information Art / country: Asian Art, Japan. Type: Imari reticulated charger Period: Edo period Dimensions: Height: 4.7 cm / 1.85". Width: 24.3 cm / 9.5". Weight: 0.70 Kg. Materials: underglaze blue porcelain with iron red enamel and gilt. Provenance: Private collection, South of France. Condition: Natural light and UV tests revealed No hairline, No chip and No repair. Some light wear, flaws, enamel and gilt losses all commensurate with age and period. In overall EXCELLENT CONDITION and STRICTLY AS PER VISUALS.
