Beautiful large vintage turquoise pendant set in sterling silver. The stone shows a vibrant blue color with natural matrix and small metallic inclusions, possibly pyrite, which give the stone depth and character. The turquoise has subtle color variations ranging from bright blue to slightly greenish tones. Based on the color, matrix pattern and style of the silverwork, the stone is likely Mexican turquoise (possibly from the Sonoran region). The stone is most likely stabilized, which is common for turquoise jewelry from this period to enhance durability. The pendant is set in a simple sterling silver bezel and has a decorative bail together with an additional round jump ring for easy attachment to a chain. The bail is stamped **“RCH STERLING”**. The oval shape is slightly irregular, which gives the piece a handmade and organic appearance typical for vintage turquoise jewelry. Details • Material: Turquoise and sterling silver • Mark: RCH STERLING • Length (including bail): approx. 46 mm • Width: approx. 31 mm • Weigth: 10 grams • Age: approx. 35 years (circa 1990) • Origin: likely Mexico Condition Good vintage condition. The front of the stone shows a nice polish and natural inclusions. The back of the stone is not polished and shows some adhesive or resin residue from the original setting process. This does not affect the stability of the stone and is not visible when worn. The pendant is slightly asymmetrical in shape, which is typical for handmade vintage pieces. Chain not included. **Important Listing Disclaimer – Please Read Before Purchasing** NO SHIPPING TO SPAIN By placing an order, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms: Vintage & Antique Condition We specialize in vintage, antique, and ethnographic items.
