This is an inkstone box from the Meiji period, decorated with drum-shaped studs. Open the top to reveal a drawer. There are three drawers on the front. No key is included. The drawers work properly. The button on the top lid has come off. It opens and closes by pressing the metal fittings in the gap. The metal fittings and wood show signs of use, dirt, wear, rust, cracks, fading, scratches, and warping. This inkstone box is decorated with numerous drum-shaped studs and has a beautiful color scheme. Height 20.5 cm Width 17.4 cm Depth 27.8 cm Weight 1310 g Condition: The button that opens and closes the top lid is missing. The top lid opens when you press the metal part in the gap.
