Antique lady's wristwatch by Buren Watch Co., founded in 1898 in Büren an der Aare, Canton Bern, Switzerland. This watch dates to the early 1900s, placing it in the Art Nouveau period (approximately 1900–1910). The case has a tonneau shape decorated with black enamel in flowing Art Nouveau patterns. The corners and shoulders are hand-engraved with floral motifs, and the enamel lines form geometric shapes that frame the dial. The sides of the case are also hand-engraved with scrolling decoration. The dial carries Arabic numerals and has developed a patina over the years. Buren is printed on the dial. The hands are blued steel. The watch is ticking and working just as a mechanical watch should. Inside the case back: 14K / 0.585, squirrel hallmark and hammerhead hallmark confirming Swiss casing, serial no. 110094, with additional hand-engraved details. The movement is marked Buren 15 Jewels and is clean and in good condition.
