Spring is coming, be ready for it and your flowers! The set was thoughtfully composed to function as a striking, eye-catching decorative ensemble in its own right. A refined and collectible example of German design, ideal for both modern interiors and serious porcelain collectors. SOME GENERAL INFORMATIONS: Founded in 1814 in Selb, Bavaria, Hutschenreuther became one of Germany’s leading porcelain manufacturers and a key representative of high-quality European porcelain. The brand is known for combining traditional craftsmanship with innovative 20th-century design. In 2000 it became part of the Rosenthal group, but pieces from the mid-century modern period remain especially sought after by collectors. The German designer Hans Achtziger ( 1918-2003 ) was a student at the State Technical School for the Porcelain Industry in Selb from 1937 to 1939 and joined the art department at Hutschenreuther for a short time in 1946. From 1946 to 1948, he studied at the School of Building and Crafts in Munich (under Hans Panzer), but then returned to Hutschenreuther. In 1959, Achtziger became a member of the German Werkbund; in 1972, he was appointed Director of the Art Department at Hutschenreuther, and in 1980 he was assigned to product management in the shapes and decoration studio.
