Vintage JBL 4310 Control Monitor Studio Speakers – Pair – Made in USA – 1960s/1970s Description Offered for auction is a pair of original vintage JBL 4310 Control Monitor loudspeakers, manufactured in the United States by James B. Lansing Sound, Inc., Los Angeles, California. The JBL 4310 is one of the earliest professional studio monitor speakers produced by JBL in the late 1960s and early 1970s. These monitors were widely used in professional recording studios and are considered the direct predecessor of the legendary JBL L100 Century. Today they are highly collectible among vintage audio enthusiasts and studio monitor collectors. Each speaker features the classic 3-way monitor design, consisting of a large white cone woofer, a midrange driver, and a tweeter, as well as the original front-mounted level controls for Presence and Brilliance, allowing adjustment of mid and high frequencies.
