An art deco Italian chest of drawers, Italy 1940s/1950s. Its distinctive design features rich burl walnut wood patchwork veneers, which create a dramatic, organic grain pattern on the front panels. This long, low-profile chest features a symmetrical arrangement of drawers flanking a central cupboard, highlighted by a decorative inset panel. The warm tones and dramatic grain patterns create a luxurious visual depth, complemented by elegant brass drawer pulls. The piece is framed with carved rope-twist detailing along the edges and raised on sculptural legs, lending it a refined yet distinctive silhouette. The top is fitted with an aqua green glass surface, a typical effect of the period. The top is with high quality, there is only one right angle with minimal defect, consistent with age and use.
