The Dalmatian edition is sought after because it is a later and less widely produced G3 variant. Restorers often look for clean, well-preserved shells, as these are rarely found without damage. Original iMac G3 “Dalmatian” (M5521, 500 MHz) case set, consisting of three parts: – the blue Dalmatian outer shell; – the front outer bezel with iMac logo; – the white bottom section. No cracks in the plastic. One small retaining tab on the outer bezel is close to breaking, but all other tabs are intact. Please note that vintage iMac plastics are fragile due to age, so careful handling is required. Important: do not sand or polish the inside of the shell. The Dalmatian pattern is screen-printed on the interior, and sanding will damage or remove the pattern. The hinge-shaped plastic part near the RAM access area shows some dirt trapped between the upholstery fabric and the plastic, which could not be removed during cleaning. The rest of the case has been cleaned. Only the plastic housing parts shown in the photos are included in this auction. No internal components, electronics, CRT, or mechanical parts are present. This set is ideal for collectors restoring a damaged Dalmatian iMac, as donor parts for refurbishment projects, or for creative reuse projects (some enthusiasts even repurpose these iconic shells into unique decorative items such as pet houses).
