Cut surface reveals a metal-rich and dark interior. Petrography: (C. Sadaka, CEREGE) This rock is composed of 18 vol% metal (by image analysis), both kamacite and taenite, under the form of irregular grains (average size ~240 µm), and 78 vol% silicates (pyroxene and plagioclase; with ~21 vol% plagioclase, size ~400 µm). Other minerals: abundant rounded to euhedral chromite grains (up 200 µm), silica polymorphs ( average ~50 µm ), and small troilite euhedral grains. Includes alteration veins. Geochemistry: Low Ca-pyroxene Fs34.3±1.1Wo2.9±0.3 FeO/MnO= 27.4±1.8 (n=12). Plagioclase An89.7±0.6Ab10.1±0.5Or0.3±0.1 (n=3).
