The stone is, or resembles Shoushan lycee cave stone. One side of the seal is engraved with characters. The face of the seal is carved in highest quality with (?) characters in Archaic style! Cut and calligraphed by the maker. Rare. About: Zhao Jianwei (Shi Nong) also known as Yejuzhaizhu, was born in Beijijng in 1962. He loved calligraphy and he developed a great passion for seal carving.He studied calligraphy and seal carving under renowned calligraphers and seal carvers Dun Qun (Dun lifu) and Xu Huanrong (Bai Tao). Over decades of study, he also received guidance from renowned calligraphers Kang Yin, Wang Xiaju and Liu Bingsen, from whom he benefied greatly. Recently, we had the privilege of acquiring a richly varied collection of old/antique Chinese stone seals. These remarkable seals have been brought together over many years by a private collector. They consist of good quality authentic Chinese seals made from various colored mineral stones, including possibly shoushan stone (larderite).
