This is a three-strand facetted garnet necklace with an antique warm yellow gold clasp. The garnet beads measure around 0.4cm each. The total length is 42cm The large golden clasp is a hook clasp with two engraved sides and a garnet set in the scalloped middle part. The center garnet is rose cut and set in a rope shaped closed setting. It measures 1.8 x 2.8cm and is marked with 585 in an oak leaf which is Dutch for 14ct gold. It has a master mark MS in an elongated hexagon shape. The clasp is in excellent condition and looks polished. We estimate the gold weight around 7 grams.
