This is an antique coral brooch made at the end of the 19th century. The coral is very large; 2.3 cm in diameter and 1.6cm in thickness. It has a nice orange hue, probably a bit lighter than in the photos. The back of the brooch is made of 18 ct yellow gold and has a nice design. The needle is marked with a makers mark: a heart over a H in a rectangle. There is a secure C-clasp as was common in those days. This brooch is a real quality piece.
