This sculptural fragment depicts the head of the god Apollo a symbol of harmony, beauty, and timeless classical ideals. The piece is cast from a mix of cement and gypsum, giving it a natural stone-like presence. The surface retains the authentic color of dried plaster & cement a soft, mineral grey that feels raw and honest. Sculpture is first created through molding, then carefully refined by hand with chisels. These manual interventions give the surface subtle irregularities that cannot be achieved by casting alone. Fine fracture lines are intentionally preserved, evoking the feeling of an archaeological fragment as if the piece has survived centuries.
