Wecker - Jaeger-LeCoultre - Leder, Holz, Glas - 1930-1940 - Jaeger LeCoultre Ados

Jaeger "Ados" 8 Jours – Triple Calendar – Double Signature "Tamisier Paris-Vichy" – 1930s A rare and authentic collector's item: a Jaeger Ados Multicalendar office/travel watch, made in France in the mid-1930s. This model is distinguished by the double signature on the dial: "Jaeger" and the prestigious luxury retailer "Tamisier Paris-Vichy", being a representative object of the elegance of the Art Deco era. Movement: High watchmaking caliber with a power reserve of 8 days (8 Jours). Adjustment system: The watch retains the original adjustment configuration. Calendar Adjustment: On the sides of the metal frame are the three dedicated holes (correctors), which allow manual setting of each element of the calendar, a proof of the complexity of this JLC caliber. The central button has the function of arming the clock and the alarm by turning left / right, inside the wheel there is a rod that by pressing you can set the alarm. indicated by not, fully arm the springs. Operating condition: The watch starts immediately and is functional, including the calendar and the alarm. Important note: Being a vintage movement of almost 90 years, the long-term accuracy (seconds/day) or the total power reserve have not been rigorously tested. A service is recommended if daily use at maximum accuracy is desired. Original black dial with Arabic numerals. The indices and hands retain the original radium-based paint, which presents an intense and constant green luminosity in the dark (a rare collector's item in this condition). Case: Metal case covered with original black leather, folding clasp. It shows a natural patina and signs of wear that attest to the age and history of the item. Seller: The signature "Tamisier" confirms the provenance from one of the most exclusive shops that served the French aristocracy in the luxury resort of Vichy and in Paris. The importance of Tamisier - Seller: During the interwar period, the House of Tamisier (with prestigious locations in Paris and Vichy) was a direct competitor to the great houses such as Cartier or Van Cleef & Arpels. Tamisier served exclusively the aristocracy and upper middle class that frequented the casinos and luxury resorts of France. The fact that this Jaeger was commissioned and signed by Tamisier attests to its status as an absolute luxury piece in the Art Deco era. Please view the images carefully before bidding. Good luck with your auction. Thank you!
