In this work, the figure emerges in a state of suspension — between the visible and the intangible, between presence and memory. The gaze, fixed yet distant, suggests a displaced consciousness, as if it inhabited simultaneously the present moment and an echo of itself.
The halo, subtly inscribed, does not affirm sainthood, but rather a symbolic amplification of existence: a spiritual white noise that resonates in the pictorial space. Around it, the dotted texture evokes reproduction and fragmentation systems — recalling both the mechanical logic of the printed image and the digital decomposition of identity.
There is a constant tension between softness and noise, between technical control and spontaneous gesture. The roughest marks interrupt the perfection of the skin, breaking the illusion and exposing the process — like glitches in a transmission.
“Presence Echo” explores the idea of identity as something never completely fixed, but rather a continuous, distorted and repeated reflection in time. We do not see only a figure — we see the trace of its existence.
