The cube in this case appears attached by a small section to a section of massive pyrite matrix that gives this otherwise rather sober piece some really remarkable aesthetics. Pyrites from Ancash have long been held as the best of the Americas, and along with the Spanish pieces from Navajún, they hold the podium for the best in the world.
