Wooden Huguenot Cross with Dove, mid 20th Century Decorative wooden Huguenot cross, finely carved and featuring the characteristic stylized arms with fleur-de-lis–like ends. The centre is adorned with a star motif, and the lower section displays a suspended dove symbolizing the Holy Spirit. An engraved Greek cross is present on the back. The Huguenot cross is historically associated with French Protestantism and became a symbol of faith and identity from the 17th century onward. This example is a later decorative interpretation, suitable as a wall-mounted religious or symbolic object. Possibly made in France.
