The ring features a round flat bezel decorated with engraved linear and geometric motifs. The design is composed of several intersecting lines and small circular elements arranged in a stylized composition. These simple linear engravings were commonly used in Byzantine jewelry as decorative motifs and sometimes carried symbolic meanings.
