Certina KF 320 – Swiss Made – circa 1951–1952 – Stainless Steel – Sector Dial – Small Seconds Offered here is an exceptional and fully original Certina wristwatch dating from the early 1950s, fitted with the highly regarded in-house KF 320 (Kurth Frères) movement. This is a fine example of post-war Swiss watch design – elegant, perfectly proportioned, and increasingly difficult to find in such complete and well-preserved condition. Movement: At the heart of this watch is the in-house, manually wound Certina KF 320 calibre, signed “15 Jewels” and “Swiss Made”. This movement was manufactured by Kurth Frères, the historic founders of Certina, and is well known for its durability, precision, and robust construction. It clearly reflects careful ownership and proper watchmaker maintenance over the decades. Dial: Original and highly attractive two-tone sector dial, one of the most desirable dial configurations from this period. Features include: - contrasting darker outer chapter ring with full minute track - lighter central dial section creating the classic “sector” effect - applied Arabic hour numerals with beautiful dimensional presence - elegant period-correct hands - separate small seconds subdial at 6 o’clock with precise scale - signed Certina with Swiss Made marking The dial retains a remarkable amount of its original character and beautifully represents the design language of the late 1940s / early 1950s. Case: - stainless steel (Acier Inoxydable) - elegant slim lugs characteristic of the period - original double case-back construction, providing additional protection for the movement - inside the case-back, historical watchmaker service marks and inscriptions are visible, a wonderful detail showing that this watch was regularly serviced and carefully looked after throughout its life Condition: Very good vintage condition, fully consistent with a watch over 70 years old. Natural signs of age and wear are present, adding to its authentic vintage character. The movement is visually very clean and well preserved. Please study the photos carefully, as they form an integral part of the description and best represent the condition of this watch. Shipping: The watch will be carefully packed for safe transport. Fully insured shipping with tracking number and shipment confirmation included. A beautiful and collectible example for enthusiasts of classic Swiss watchmaking, Certina collectors, and lovers of true in-house vintage movements.
