39. ACCA XF, Japanese Edo Period - Hakodate Tsuho (Small Size), Iron Coin/Cast, Rare and Beautiful. Cast in Hakodate during the Ansei era of Emperor Komei (Qing Dynasty, Xianfeng period). It is said that Hakodate produced iron, hence the casting of iron coins, but these were limited to circulation in Hakodate, Ezo (Hokkaido), Matsumae, and other areas. The obverse inscription is in regular script, read vertically, with elegant handwriting. There is also a version with the year inscribed on the reverse. The unique feature of this coin is that the initial castings had a round hole, but due to casting difficulties, it was later changed to an octagonal shape, a rare occurrence in coinage history. Iron coins are now extremely rare, and this coin is sometimes referred to as the "mother of iron coins." This Hakodate Tsuho is an iron coin from the late Edo period of Japan, and it also shows signs of overcasting during casting, making it a rare example of a cast coin. Collectors who are interested should not miss this opportunity. * Duty and taxes, if any, are the responsibility of the buyer * Duty and taxes, if any, are the responsibility of the buyer *I don't accept a negative rating for the reason that a guest has to pay taxes to their own country, * For more information, please check the ACCA official website * If you are still bidding in the store, you can tell me to send it later. * For guests from Italy 、Netherlandsand Portugal, please note that it usually takes a long time for package delivery to Italy and Portugal, especially Netherlands,so please be patient or consider providing me with an address in another country Thank you and good luck!
