From my personal collection This is a Limited Edition timepiece Hoffman Racing 40 Mechanical Chronograph MK1 Number 025/350 The Hoffman Racing 40 Mechanical Reverse Panda is a high-contrast, vintage-inspired timepiece that pairs a matte black dial with two crisp white sub-registers. This design pays homage to 1960s racing icons while maintaining a modern, minimalist edge. The Dial features a "Reverse Panda" layout with a dual-layered construction. A matte black primary surface is accented by two white sub-dials at 3 and 9 o'clock, which are textured with an embossed concentric (circular) pattern to add depth. The Case is crafted from 316L stainless steel with a mix of brushed and polished finishes. It measures 40mm in diameter and 13.5mm thick, featuring a fixed black bezel with an engraved tachymeter scale. The Movement: Unlike the standard quartz models or hybrid mecha-quartz, this mechanical version is powered by a manual-wind column-wheel chronograph - Seagull ST1901. This provides a tactile "click" when using the pushers and a smooth, sweeping seconds hand. This is a true manual-wind chronograph. It requires daily interaction through winding, which builds a unique "connection" between the wearer and the machine. The watch is outfitted with a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal that includes an anti-reflective (AR) coating for better legibility in bright light. - The Sapphire Exhibition Case Back - The standout feature of the Mechanical edition is the see-through exhibition case back. Visible Artistry: It reveals the Seagull TY2901 movement, which is famous for being one of the most beautiful movements at its price point. Intricate Mechanics: You can clearly see the blue steel screws, brass gears, and the mechanical "dance" of the column wheel as it engages and disengages when you press the stopwatch buttons.
