2017 Caparzo - Brunello di Montalcino - 1 Doppelmagnum/Jeroboam (3 l)

Brunello di Montalcino 2017 3 liters DESCRIPTION: Producer: Caparzo Wine: Brunello di Montalcino Vintage: 2017 Number of Bottles: 1 Size: 3.00 Grapes: 100% Sangiovese Aging: 36 months in oak Alc.: 14,5% Caparzo's Brunello di Montalcino has been one of the Tuscan region's iconic red wines for 50 years: robust and strongly territorial. Aged in large barrels for at least three years, it displays an intense ruby red tending towards garnet, accompanied by a penetrating bouquet of ripe cherry, earthy notes, and nuances of mint and tobacco. The palate is full and vibrantly structured, with sweet tannins and a long finish. Caparzo's Brunello di Montalcino is an intense and elegant red with a long history. First bottled in 1970, it remains the signature label of a historic winery in the area. It is the Brunello that best represents the winery's style, a true embodiment of the estate. Caparzo is one of the few wineries in Montalcino with vineyards located on various hillsides, with varying exposures, altitudes, and soils. This wealth allows us to select and blend the finest wines, creating a Brunello with a harmonious and balanced profile every year, regardless of the vintage's climatic conditions. Brunello di Montalcino is the fruit of the labor of a historic local winery, which has been producing wine in Montalcino for forty years. Caparzo manages a splendid estate of approximately 90 hectares, predominantly planted with Sangiovese Grosso, nestled in a wild and pristine natural setting. Brunello is made from a selection of grapes from four different parcels, located in areas with distinct microclimates and soil compositions. The vines are cultivated in the northern area in the Caparzo area; in the southwest in the La Caduta vineyard; in the southern area in the Il Cassero area; and finally in San Pietro on the eastern slope of the hill. After the manual harvest, fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of 28-30°C, with maceration on the skins for approximately ten days. The wine ages for at least 36 months in large barrels and completes its refinement with 6 months in the bottle. Caparzo Brunello di Montalcino is a beautiful version of one of Tuscany's most prestigious reds. It has a ruby red color with garnet highlights. Elegant and refined, it expresses aromas of cherry, morello cherry, and small berries, along with floral nuances and subtle spicy and wild herb notes. On the palate, it has a good structure, with intense, complex aromas supported by dense, mature tannins. The palate possesses a clear, expressive tension and unfolds harmoniously toward a fresh, balsamic, and balanced finish, with a persistent finish. This is a classic version, ideal for experiencing the traditional side of this great wine.
