MonBirone Barbera d'Alba DOC 2019, a prestigious "Grand Cru" red wine produced by the Monchiero Carbone winery in Canale, in the heart of Roero, in Piedmont.
Main features
Grape variety: 100% Barbera, coming from vineyards over 40 years old located on the hill of Monbirone.
Sensory Profile: It has an intense ruby red colour with purplish reflections. On the nose it offers complex aromas ranging from ripe red fruits (cherries, plums) to notes of undergrowth, cocoa, spices and vanilla.
On the palate: It is a powerful, elegant and structured wine, with a lively acidity typical of the grape variety that balances the alcoholic softness.
Service advice and pairings
Temperature: It is recommended to serve it at about 18°C.
