The rear element is severely fogged due to coating degradation, and there are also some wiping scratches on the glass. As a result, the lens produces a pronounced soft-focus / dreamy effect under most lighting conditions, with strongly reduced contrast and veiling flare. While some photographers may enjoy this as an experimental "character lens" for portraits or atmospheric shooting, this lens is being sold strictly as a defective item, NOT as a normally-functioning optic.
