The lower section is dense, mineral and deeply textured, radiating a grounded, almost tectonic energy. Above it, the dark field acts like a suspended sky—absorbing light, creating depth, and intensifying the visual weight of the composition. Light is the key force that activates the piece. The chromed gold is not fixed; it behaves as a reactive surface. Under direct, warm lighting, the lower half ignites with vibrant, almost molten reflections, amplifying the sensation of upward motion and expansion. Under softer or lateral light, the gold becomes more subdued, shifting toward earthy, oxidized tones, revealing the intricate layering and the tactile richness of the material.
