Biondi Santi's Brunello di Montalcino comes from the prestigious Sangiovese Grosso vineyards cultivated on the eponymous estate, which extends over 47 hectares. The marly, pebble-rich soils, the unique local microclimate, the marked temperature range between day and night, and the Mediterranean sun that warms the soil for more than half the year have created the perfect conditions for growing high-quality grapes. Yields are kept very low, approximately 30-50 quintals per hectare, and the harvest is done manually, selecting bunch by bunch in the central weeks of September. The grapes, brought to the cellar, are vinified and aged in Slavonian oak barrels for at least three years. It concludes its journey in the bottle, where it rests for at least four months.
