Description: A ceramic tea bowl with a Jun ware-style glaze in soft purple and bluish tones. The rounded form is set on a neatly finished foot, while the glaze flows unevenly toward the lower body, creating a lively surface with subtle variation in tone. The interior is fully glazed in the same cool palette, with a lighter area at the center. The box inscription identifies the work as Kinyo Tenmoku chawan and bears the art name 桃山子. It comes with a fitted wooden storage box. Dimensions: Height: 7.9 cm Diameter: 13.2 cm Weight: 390 g Condition: Crazing is present, and there is a chip to the glaze drip area. Aside from this, there are no noticeable cracks or chips. Artist Profile: Izo Kato (加藤偉三) was a ceramic artist from Seto, Aichi Prefecture, and used the art names 桃山 and 桃山子. Born in 1908, he studied under Fujii Tatsukichi and Itaya Hazan. In 1935, he co-founded 春陶会 with Kato Kasen. From 1944 onward, he was active overseas in ceramics and glass production instruction, and in 1977 he received a Minister of Education award for Beni Annam Kawasemi-mon daiban.
