Despite the simplified construction, this 35-70mm f/4 earned a strong reputation among OM users for being remarkably sharp across its zoom range, with the constant f/4 aperture providing consistent exposure metering across all focal lengths — a useful trait for open-aperture TTL metering on OM bodies.
