Replik eines altägyptischen Kanopengefäß mit Hieroglyphen (Ohne mindestpreis)
➜ An exquisite and highly detailed statue of an Ancient Egyptian Canopic Jar, representing the falcon-headed deity Qebehsenuef, one of the Four Sons of Horus. In ancient times, this jar was designated to preserve the intestines of the deceased under the divine protection of the goddess Serqet.
The Lid (The Falcon Head): The lid features a beautifully sculpted head of a falcon, symbolizing Qebehsenuef. The back of the head is adorned with an intricately engraved winged scarab beetle (Khepri), representing rebirth, transformation, and protective solar power.
The Vessel Body: The front of the jar features a central, deeply incised hieroglyphic panel crowned by a protective winged deity (goddess Isis/Nut or a winged sun-disk).
The Guardians: Flanking the hieroglyphic cartouche are two mirrored, standing figures of Anubis, the jackal-headed god of mummification and the afterlife, shown in a classic protective posture.
