Nordeuropäer der Wikingerzeit Ein Los bestehend aus 2 Bronze-Fibulen, 4 Fingerringen und 1 Paar Pinzetten (Ohne mindestpreis)
A Lot of 2 Bronze Fibulas, 4 Finger Rings and 1 Pair of Tweezers
Viking Age, Northern Europe, 9th-11th century A.D.
A fine lot of Viking Age Northern European bronze personal ornaments and implements, comprising two fibulas, four finger rings, and one pair of tweezers. The fibulas include a penannular example with pin and disc terminals with central protrusions, and a second example with ribbed hoop and opposing dragon-head terminals. The finger rings are of simple circular and slightly flattened forms, one with incised decoration around the band. The tweezers have a long, narrow body expanding to broad, triangular ends.
The lot is in excavated condition, with age-related surface wear, green patina, encrustation, and minor losses, yet retaining clear and recognisable forms.
An excellent and varied group of Viking Age bronze artefacts, ideal for collectors of Norse antiquities, early medieval jewellery, or archaeological personal objects.
Size 2.2 – 3.5 cm.
Provenance: British collection, 1970s-1990s.
Certificate of authenticity enclosed.
Shipping inside EU only.
