KIPLÉ - Panda Chronograph Valjoux 7734 - Ohne mindestpreis - Herren - 1970-1979

Kiplé Panda Chronograph, manual-wind from the 1970s, powered by the Valjoux 7734 caliber. Gold-plated cushion case of approximately 37 mm with a champagne sunburst dial, twin black registers and a tachymeter outer scale. Kiplé was a French watch house active through the mid-20th century, and like many European brands of the era it built its chronographs around the Valjoux 7734 — a 17-jewel, cam-actuated, manual-wind chronograph caliber that became one of the workhorse movements of the 1970s racing-chronograph period. This example shows the typical bicompax layout of that caliber: running seconds at 9 o'clock, a 30-minute counter at 3 o'clock with a red end sector, and a date aperture at 6. The champagne dial with applied faceted markers and the cushion case place it firmly in the early-to-mid 1970s sport-chronograph aesthetic. - Movement: Manual wind, Valjoux 7734, 17 jewels, Incabloc - Case: Gold-plated (hallmarked 10-micron galvanic plating) with stainless steel back, cushion shape, approx. 37 mm excluding crown - Dial: Champagne sunburst, applied gold faceted markers, twin black sub-dials, red 30-minute end sector, tachymeter scale - Hands: Gold baton hands with luminous fill; central chronograph seconds - Crystal: Acrylic, domed - Strap: Black leather (aftermarket), steel pin buckle - Functions: Chronograph (central seconds + 30-minute counter), small seconds, date, hours, minutes - Water resistance: Untested for current vintage seal - Year: 1970s The watch is in very good condition for its age. The dial is clean and sharp, with intact registers and a bright champagne finish. The gold plating shows light wear on the high points of the lugs and case edges, with a few minor spots near the case back — honest wear consistent with a watch of this period. The acrylic crystal carries some very fine surface scratches. The movement winds smoothly and runs over a 24-hour test, and the chronograph engages, runs and resets to zero. Clean, fully working Valjoux 7734 chronographs in this champagne-panda configuration remain a steady favourite in Catawiki's vintage chronograph auctions. From a private collection. No box or papers. Shipped fully insured, tracked, and signature-required to worldwide.
