Leucos, iTRE - Renato Toso - Hängelampe (2) - Class 40 - Muranoglas

Two pendants in handmade/mouth-blown white Murano glass with hand-cut grooves that wind around the glass surface and highlight the design. ›CLASS 40‹ manufactured by ITRE Italy in the 1990s. In excellent condition, without chips, cracks or other flaws, and has been extremely expensive when new. "CLASS 40 PENDANT Information: Class from Leucos (previously manufactured by iTRE, like these two lamps) is a pendant lamp with a hand-blown diffuser in satin white glass. A beautiful pendant lamp for large open spaces or ceiling environments. Designed by R. Toso" Itre is a modern Italian company that produces lighting in Murano glass. It was founded by Carlo Nason, who started the company in Murano, Italy. Leucos and iTRE are both Italian high-end lighting brands that merged under the same group (Leucos USA/FDV Group) in 2008. Although they share production quality and a focus on design, they have different aesthetic approaches: Leucos is primarily known for its expertise in traditional glass craftsmanship, particularly using Venetian ‘incamiciato’ (layered) opal glass to create elegant, modern and often classic-modern lamps. iTRE (sometimes stylised as iTre) functions more as a design laboratory or ‘experimental’ department, focusing on contemporary, avant-garde and technical designs using a wider range of materials, including metal, plastic, textiles and composites. Key points: Relationship: iTRE is a brand under the Leucos umbrella. Style: Leucos is known for its glass craftsmanship; iTRE is known for experimental materials and avant-garde shapes. Market: Both target the high-end residential and hotel sectors. Common ownership: Both are part of the former FDV group and now operate under the name Leucos, where they often appear together in collections. Sold without bulbs (both have a standard E14 socket) Packed securely and shipped with insurance
