Jahresuhr - Kundo - Messing, Metall, Glas - 1950-1960

Vintage German Kundo (Kieninger & Obergfell) 400-Day Anniversary Torsion Clock - Black & Gold Floral Decor - For Restoration Up for auction is a beautiful, highly collectible vintage 400-day anniversary torsion clock, manufactured in West Germany by the prestigious maker Kundo (Kieninger & Obergfell) during the 1950s/1960s. This model features a striking and elegant black and gold brass design, beautifully embellished with delicate, hand-painted floral motifs on the dial, supporting columns, and the oval base. The clock comes complete with its original glass dome, which has protected the interior from dust over the decades. - Aesthetics: Excellent cosmetic condition for its age. The brass shows a lovely, authentic vintage patina, and the floral paintings remain vivid and well-preserved. - Mechanical Movement: The main brass movement is complete and intact. All gears, wheels, and the mainspring barrel align correctly. The movement plate is stamped with the classic period mark: "NO (0) JEWELS UNADJUSTED GERMANY". - Important Note for Restoration: The extremely fine suspension wire (torsion spring) is currently broken and needs replacement. A fragment of the original wire is still attached to the upper saddle/fork, and the other end remains in the 4-ball pendulum block. The 4-ball pendulum itself is detached but fully intact, including its regulating wheel. - Base Mechanism: The original, Kundo-patented bottom pendulum locking device (lever and central pin system) is present and fully functional, allowing for safe locking during transport. The three knurled levelling feet screw in and out smoothly. This is an exceptional and highly rewarding project piece for clocksmiths, hobbyists, or vintage clock collectors looking to restore a classic piece of Mid-Century German horology to its full glory. Specifications: - Brand: Kundo (Kieninger & Obergfell) - Unsigned dial/plate (standard for export/period) - Origin: West Germany - Era: Circa 1950-1960 - Mechanism Type: Mechanical, 400-day torsion pendulum movement - Design: Black & gold lacquer with hand-painted floral details - Components Included: Main clock body, original 4-ball pendulum, original glass dome. (Key not included). Dimensions : 30 cm × 19.5 cm The product will be professionally packed and sent safely to your address by local post. The pictures of the product are made with the highest possible resolution, precisely to capture possible small defects (small scratches, stains, defect), the pictures are part of the product description.
