Vom Verkäufer bereitgestellte Beschreibung
Gaja Sorì Tildìn 2001 – Langhe DOC Nebbiolo
Produced by one of Italy’s most iconic wineries, Sorì Tildìn is one of the three historic single-vineyard crus of Gaja. The name comes from the south-facing vineyard (“Sorì” in the local Piedmontese dialect) and from Clotilde Rey, Angelo Gaja’s grandmother, affectionately known as “Tildìn.” The 2001 vintage is widely regarded as one of the finest vintages in Piedmont over the last decades, offering exceptional balance, depth, and remarkable aging potential.
Made predominantly from Nebbiolo grapes grown in the renowned Sorì Tildìn vineyard in Barbaresco, this wine represents one of the highest expressions of the Langhe terroir. Following Angelo Gaja’s decision to classify his historic crus under Langhe DOC rather than Barbaresco DOCG, Sorì Tildìn has remained a benchmark for quality and excellence.
Robert Parker Score: 96/100
Fill Level: Neck
Label Condition: Excellent label
Capsule Condition: Excellent
Bottle Size: 750 ml
Bottled By: Estate Bottled by Gaja, Barbaresco, Italy
This bottle is presented in excellent overall condition, featuring a well-preserved label, intact capsule, and a high fill level for its age. It has been stored throughout its life in a private climate-controlled wine cellar with stable temperature and humidity conditions.
The 2001 vintage now displays extraordinary aromatic complexity, offering evolved notes of dried rose petals, truffle, forest floor, sweet spices, tobacco, and ripe red fruits. On the palate, it retains impressive structure, elegance, and the capacity for further development.
Drink or Hold: Currently in an outstanding drinking window, yet it still possesses the structure and balance to continue evolving gracefully for many more years under proper cellaring conditions.
A highly collectible bottle from one of the most celebrated producers in the world and from one of the most sought-after Piedmont vintages of the modern era. Ideal for collectors and enthusiasts of great Nebbiolo wines.
