Beautiful, authentic Hereke silk-on-silk rug with original certificate of guarantee from 1992.

Design: Traditional and highly detailed "Tree of Life" pattern featuring vibrant birds and a charming duck pond at the base, elegantly framed within a classic prayer niche (Mihrab).

Material: 100% genuine silk pile woven on a premium silk warp. Incredibly fine knotting with an elegant natural sheen.

Condition: The rug was used exclusively as a decorative wall hanging. Therefore, it shows absolutely zero wear from footsteps, and both the delicate pile and the fringes remain fully intact and structurally flawless.

Important Note on Cleaning: Having been displayed on the wall for over 30 years, the rug has naturally accumulated surface dust and feels somewhat greasy/grimy in certain areas. It is sold in its original, unwashed state. A professional organic carpet cleaning is highly recommended to fully restore the brilliant luster and softness of the silk.

Mounting: A round wooden slat with a hanging cord is attached to the upper back, making it ready to be displayed as a piece of art again.

Knot density: approx. 1,000,000 knots/m². The incredibly fine weave is clearly visible in the close-up photos of the back, matching the traditional Hereke master-grade standard of approx. 10x10 knots per cm
