This polished slice reveals the concentric, wavy banding typical of Brazilian agate, its rhythmic layers flowing gracefully across the full width of the slab. Ex coll. Rollet family (Lyon). The Rollet family owned several mines in Madagascar from 1920, mining and exporting minerals for industrial use (mainly phlogopite) as well as gemstone roughs and collectable specimens. Founder Marc Rollet was one of France's earliest mineral dealers, and the collection also includes French and international classics gathered over the last century.
