2 copperplate engraved views from Samuel von Pufendorf’s monumental historical work *De rebus a Carolo Gustavo* (published in Nuremberg in 1696), which documents the deeds of the Swedish King Charles X Gustav.
1. ‘Delineatio Arcis Cronenburgensis’ from 1659. It shows a detailed bird’s-eye view of the famous Kronborg Castle (Latin: Arx Cronenburgensis) in Helsingør, Denmark
Designed by the Swedish military engineer and Field Marshal Erik Jönsson Dahlbergh (1625–1703).
2. ‘Vera et exacta delineatio memorabilis actus Actusque Coronationis Christinae’
It documents the reading of Queen Christina of Sweden’s abdication in 1654 and the appointment of her successor. The abdication document was read out at Uppsala Castle on 6 June 1654, and her successor was appointed. She bequeathed the Crown of Sweden to her cousin Karl Gustav of Zweibrücken-Kleeburg, the new King Karl X Gustav (1654–1660). The scene is set in the royal hall with a large retinue; the individual figures are numbered and listed in the index.

Condition
Kronborg has some glue staining along the centre fold; the other sheet is somewhat agetoned and has water stains along the bottom edge
